Top 10 Values

1. Happiness/Enjoyment

2. Work/Life balance

3. Security

4. Fulfillment

5. High Earnings/Benefits

6. Location

7. Challenging

8. Recognition/Advancement

9. Moral Fulfillment/Make a difference

10. Independence

There are many reasons these values fall into this specific order, but the number 1 reason is to be happy and that can’t be replaced. Ultimately this is everyone’s goal in life to find a career that they love and have a passion for. Numbers 2-9 all make up the reasons for number 1. A proper work/life balance is also important because spending time with family is most important to me, but staying at home all day doesn’t pay to good. Most people take location, pay, and benefits into consideration when choosing a job. Some others things I feel are important are: does this job challenge me and am I making a difference in the workplace and the world? Are my talents, skills, and abilities being used properly? Lastly independence, I don’t want a job where someone is looking over my shoulder and breathing down my neck. I don’t thrive in those types of positions.
